How it works


1.	WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE RIDERS TO MAKE RESERVATIONS ONLINE

	HCS will then contact you to confirm your request. Your welcome packet will be sent to you via usmail or email (if time does not permit mailing).

2.	HCS arranges for bike pickup from your home, work, or local bike shop ($12 additional fee). Bikes can also be dropped at any local UPS/Fedex ship center(no additional cost).

3.	HCS keeps you inform via email of your bike’s pickup, arrival & return shipping. You can also login to our website at any time to view online.

4.	If loss or damage occurs during shipping, HCS serves as your advocate. We initiate the claim, fill out the forms, and see the process through to resolution.

The set prices below are based on a bike box that weighs up to 60 lbs., with a dimensional size of up to 130, and that is insured for $1,000 (additional insurance is available at $1.25 per $100 in value maximum $4000).

How to Calculate your Bike Box Dimensional Size

Bike Packing Recommendations

	We strongly recommend taking your bike to your local bicycle shop and having it professionally packed. If it's packed by a bicycle shop, there will be less risk of damage or additional assembly charges related to improper disassembly or packing.

	When packing your bike remember TAPE LINES! Mark your seat post height, handle bar and aero bar position with tape. This will insure proper positioning and fit.

	Event Logistics All bikes shipped to RAGBRAI are shipped exclusively through High Country Shipping.

Where to Pick-Up Your bike BEFORE the Event

Bikes will be available for pick-up in Sioux Center at the expo area on July 21st.

Delivery prior to this date is not an option given the size of the event.

If you are arriving early and want to have your bike available we can ship direct to another address in Iowa for you.

Where to Drop-Off your bike for Disassembly and Return Shipping

Bikes can be dropped off for disassembly & return shipping after the ride in Clinton at the main expo area.

We are not able to receive your bike throughout the week as we may not be following the ride.

If you need to depart early please let us know and we can arrange for a drop off location during the event.

If you choose to ship with your own UPS account number there is a $35 fee for receipt / storage / delivery for the event.

If you need storage and transport of your bike case across Iowa while you are riding
you can drop off to us and we will charge $25.

For riders shipping with us bike case transport is done as part of our service and shipping costs.

Cardboard bike boxes will be available for purchase at the completion of the event for a $15 cost.
